The Chilliwack No-Ballerz women’s cricket team put in a strong effort but couldn’t overcome some of Western Canada’s best cricket teams at last weekend’s fourth annual Western Canadian Championships in West Vancouver. Opposition for the tournament consisted of teams from Edmonton and Calgary along with hosts West Vancouver and favourites Victorias’s Wicket Maidens, who have run a women’s cricket program for over 15 years.
The Chilliwack women finished fifth of the five teams.
