The Nova Scotia Cricket Association is hosting the big “Cricket Cookout” this coming Saturday (August 17) between 2pm and 5 pm at the Halifax Commons ground (corner of Cogswell Street and Robie Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The event combines a range of opportunities that cater for those interested in food, cricket watchers, those – young and old – who would like to try out cricket, and some competitions with prizes and goodies to be won.
Adults are invited not just to “Bring the kids along to play cricket in our demonstration area!” but to try out give cricket themselves. Two Halifax Cricket League Twenty20 matches are scheduled on the Halifax Commons pitch during the course of Saturday afternoon while spectators can also be enjoying the BBQ, drinks and sunshine in the park.
The Nova Scotia Cricket Association (NSCA) gives a special vote of thanks thanks to Jay Vyas and Investors Group for their generous support of the NSCA and making Saturday’s event happen.
