Cricket Canada has announced the players who have been selected for the five squads participating in the 2014 Canada Cup Under-17 championship that begins on Monday June 30, 2014 at Centennial Park, Etobicoke, Ontario. The five squads include two Ontario provincial squads, who are labelled as Ontario Greens and Ontario Reds, a combined squad representing Manitoba, Quebec and Saskatchewan, plus provincial squads for each of Alberta and British Columbia.
The tournament is being contested on a round-robin basis with games between Alberta and Ontario Reds plus British Columbia versus the Manitoba/Quebec and Saskatchewan combined team due on Monday. Play is scheduled to begin each day at 10.30am from Monday until the closing round of matches on Friday July 4, 2014.
