Canadian Senior & U19 National player Nikhil Dutta is back on home soil after his stint in England with Stanmore Cricket Club. The club plays in the ECB Middlesex County League premier Division. Nikhil’s signing with Stanmore came on the recommendation of former England international Mark Ramprakash who felt that the Canadian player had lots of potential. Ramprakash first spotted Dutta while batting and bowling with the England ‘A’ players in the nets in India. On his experience in England, Nikhil said “the last few weeks have been a great learning curve and exhilarating experience for me. Training at the Mecca of Cricket (Lords) and Middlesex County under the guidance of the legendary Mark Ramprakash has made me love the game more than ever. Being able to play under different conditions, whether it is on the green turf, bowling long spells or even the distinct format of the game, has made me grow from strength to strength as a cricketer but more importantly as an individual”.
