After the conclusion of the Super-6 leagues games played last week end, Brampton Masters, Toronto CC and the Ramblers will go in to the play offs. Brampton Masters being table leaders have drawn a bye and goes directly to the finals. They will play against the winners of the game between Toronto CSCC & Ramblers CC. The first game will be played on Saturday at King City and the Masters will play thethe winners on Sunday in the finals, at the same venue.
Masters in the league won 9 games out of 10, losing only to the Ramblers and became the worthy leaders in the league. The defending champions missed the services of former Canadian skipper Rizwan Cheema and last year’s title wining captain Hiral Patel who had decided to cross over to Toronto CC.
Toronto on the other hand, started off well winning four games but lost the first and second round games to Masters, and their second round games to CCC & Ramblers last weekend, but hence qualified to be in the play-offs with 6 wins out of 10 games.
Ramblers of Mississauga were able to take third place with the victory they scored against Toronto on Sunday which gave them 5 wins, 2 rained off and two losses. Their close rivals, CCC did not make it along with OCA and Vikings who will now try to make amends in the other form of the game, T-20 which will get under way in the first week of August.
It will be cricket at its best when the two teams meet on Saturday, Toronto Vs Ramblers as both will go flat out to ‘win’ and play the mighty Masters on Sunday.
Hoping for good weather and may the best teams win the day.
