The International Cricket Council (ICC) today confirmed that the bowling action of Canada’s Hiral Patel has been found to be legal, and the player can continue bowling in international cricket.
The 23-year-old was reported after the ICC World Twenty 20 Qualifier 2015 against Scotland on Friday, 17 July. Patel was reported and his action was assessed by the Expert Panel who determined it was legal.
The assessment was carried out in accordance with Section 4 of the ICC Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected Illegal Actions (the “Regulations”).
