The Americas squad hoped to rebound after a disappointing performance in their last match against Jamaica, but faced a tough task against hosts Trinidad and Tobago who have won both their matches to date. The rival captains in today’s game Jason Mohammed, and ICC Americas Ruvindu Gunasekera, were team mates in the 2013 CIBC/Cricket Canada National Cricket League for Prairie Fire. The T&T Red Force squad seems to include four of the “international players” added to the five Canadian regional teams in the 2013 tournament. Jason Mohammed is joined by Marlon Richards (Eastern Fury in 2013), Kjorn (KY) Ottley (2013 Western Stallions) and Yannick (KYG) Ottley.
After a long delay the umpires decided that conditions were not playable due to a damp outfield and the match was abandoned.
