The CIMA Mayor’s 2016 Cricket Across the Pond squad to tour Trinidad and Tobago between August 7th and 14th was announced at City Hall, Toronto on Friday June 24, 2016. The twelve players include one member of Canada’s 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup squad, Mamik Luthra.
Philip Mowlah-Baksh of George Harvey Collegiate Institute has been named manager of the tour party and Derek Perera of Ontario Cricket Academy will coach the tourists.
The twelve players in the tour party are: Cordy Antoine (George Harvey CI, Toronto), Kurt Ramdath (St Francis Xavier SS, Mississauga), Vrund Gohil (Woburn CI, Toronto), Meet Shah (Cedarbrae CI, Toronto), Mamik Luthra (Bramalea SS, Brampton), Nikhil Sharma (Castlebrook SS, Brampton), Zargham Nasir (North Park SS, Brampton), Ahmed Syed (Pine Ridge SS, Pickering), Jasim Paracha (Middlefield CI, Markham), Jonathan Thanjaratnam (R.H. King Academy, Toronto), Shrujal Patel (Emery CI, Toronto) and Nashed Uddin (Rick Hansen SS, Mississauga).
