2016 Under-17 Canada Cup

The Cricket Council of Ontario has published the schedule for the 2016 Under-17 Canada Cup that starts on Monday July 4, 2016. Six representative teams are participating, so three games will be played each day with a maximum of 50 overs per innings. The daily schedule sees two games being played at the two grounds in Centennial Park, Etobicoke (near Soccer City) with the third game at Mississauga Ramblers Iceland ground (616 Driftcurrent Drive, Mississauga).
There are two participating teams from hosts Ontario (Ontario Reds and Ontario Greens) provincial teams from Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec plus a combined Manitoba/Saskatchewan team. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 9.30am on Monday July 4, 2016 at Centennial Park.

This Canada Cup Under-17 tournament takes place just before a three country match play event in Houston, Texas involving Bermuda, Canada and USA. The Houston event is scheduled for July 13-20, 2016. The Canada Cup and Houston event are stepping stones on the path to the 2017 ICC Americas Under-19 Regional Championship and a place in the next ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
